Christian Bale to Play John Connor

22 May 2008 In: Just Announced

As the rumors have been confirmed:

  • Christian Bale will play John Connor
  • He has signed up to make 3 Terminator films
  • He liked the script
  • All movies will be set after Skynet launches their attack
  • The studios have not commented if Arnie will be in any of them

1. Director Guillermo del Toro for years considered this film a dream project and had always wanted to cast Ron Perlman in the lead, but could never secure a budget or studio approval. After the massive success of Blade II (2002), del Toro was offered Blade: Trinity (2004) or Hellboy, and though he briefly considered trying to schedule both in, he chose Hellboy.

2. Baby Hellboy, Sammael, Ivan the corpse, Train Driver and Kroenen were all voiced by Guillermo del Toro

3. The studio wanted Vin Diesel to play Hellboy.

4. Ron Perlman broke a rib while filming the subway scenes. He jumped onto a train that was coming towards him at about 45 mph.

5. One of the headstones in the graveyard in Moscow reads “Here Lies Mike Mignola” - the creator of Hellboy.

6. Hellboy’s line to Liz, “I’ll always look this good,” was originally spoken by Guillermo del Toro to his future wife when she took issue with his casual mode of dressing.

7. WILHELM SCREAM: when the Nazi scientist is sucked into the portal.

8. Hellboy was originally going to have cloven hooves for feet, like in the comics, but it was decided that it would be easier and safer for Ron Perlman to perform his stunts with normal, booted feet.

9. The “cover identity” for the BPRD is “Squeaky Clean Up waste management” (seen on the plaque at the front gate as Myers arrives).

10. The motto, depicted in the lobby floor, of the Bureau of Paranormal and Psychic Defence (Defense) is: “In Absentia Luce Tenebrae Vincit”. Meaning, in the absence of light, darkness prevails (or triumphs).

Hellboy 2 trailer:

Well, it’s week-end and once again (just like million times before) I don’t know what to do. Yeah, sure I have a lot of friends and my parents, and there are a lot of cafes, bars and restaurants, but this yearly report makes me feel like a boiled rag, so I just would like to stay alone and watch a great movie (great, I mean a movie that will let me forget about my work).

The next point is not easier than the first, where to buy? What to buy? Oh, my God, my head is spinning. It goes without saying that I know a backers dozen of various sites where it is possible to download movies, but what can I say about their reputation or reliability? Actually, nothing. So, I started searching for a decent site and I was shocked, most of them offer cheap movies but with poor quality, then 24/7 accessibility but I failed to buy a movie there, great selection turned to be not more than 500 movies, let alone absence of really qualitative and well-thought searching system and reviews. What a strange world we live in. There are millions of sites and on a practical note, they are almost useless if you don’t know what to choose.

Oh, really, I tried but it was no-go… But, suddenly one site caught my eye. Its design was simple and yet exquisite, not boring and not annoying. It was called IWatchFilm. Something I really wanted to do. From its own description I found out that “… it is a highly convenient and one of the leading movie download services offering a great choice of brand new and classic movies… ” And many other pleasant things. But I made my own investigation and ready to share its results with you:
- there are 24 categories on this site;
- very convenient navigation;
- latest movies’ reviews;
- and 6 various kinds of searching (simple searching, browse by letters, keywords search, genres search, countries search and years search)…

Since I was looking for something that thrills and touches, I chose this category: Romance and I was impressed to find out that all movies are listed in alphabetical order. Thanks! In the twinkle of an eye I found something I was looking for. Cruel Intentions, I still remember that this movie brought about every single emotion that I think one could have… I bought it! And now I am happy. cheapest software downloadable PRiveDd

The Happening 2008

The happening 2008

I have mixed feelings about M. Night Shayamalan - I enjoyed 6th sense, Unbreakable and Signs, for me the others were distinctively average. This new film “The Happening” seems to have the right elements to make this film a success.

PLOT:

A couple goes on the run from an apocalyptic crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity.

Possible Spoiler

Looking at the trailer and reading through the various movie forums, many people believe the happening is either a flock of killer bees or a man made virus that uses the natural elements to kill everyone. No doubt there will be a twist in the tale and the happening just happened - no imagination I know lol.

Tom Cruise

1. At age 14, he enrolled in a seminary to become a priest. He dropped out after one year.
2. Is right handed when writing, but does most things left handed.
3. Cruise earned roughly $75 million for Mission: Impossible II (2000). He did this by turning down any upfront salary, for instead taking a back-end deal that landed him 30% of the film’s gross for both his producing and acting duties.
4. Suffers from dyslexia.
5. Will not allow his likeness to be used in video games or for action figures.
6. When attending a Franciscan seminary in Cincinatti, he aspired to become a priest.
7. Was introduced to Scientology by his ex-wife Mimi Rogers.
8. Is reportedly a huge fan of The Simpsons. However, he has twice turned down guest roles; once for the part of “Tom,” which was written specifically for him, in the episode “Brother From The Same Planet” (eventually voiced by regular Phil Hartman) and the other alongside his then-wife Nicole Kidman in the episode “When You Dish Upon A Star” (eventually voiced by then-couple Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger).
9. Is talked about in the song “Though the Wire” by Kanye West.
10. Is a vegetarian.

X Files 2 July 2008

X Files 2

I was always a big fan of the X files when I was younger, the series was great and the movie not bad too. I did lose interest when Mulder left but in this new features they are back together, wahoo!

Plot: David Duchovny will reprise his role of Special Agent Fox Mulder. Gillian Anderson is also expected to be back on board to play Special Agent Dana Scully. The popular series ran on Fox from 1993 to 2002. Rob Bowman directed the first feature, which hit theaters on June 19, 1998.

10. Red Heat – 1988

Red Heat

Arnie plays a Russian policeman sent after a Russian drug dealer who has escaped to the United States and is awaiting extradition in Chicago. Jim Belushi plays his temporary partner on the Chicago police. When the drug dealer escapes, the two police must overcome their differences in order to recapture him. Overall not a bad film but is only just making the list.

Memorable Arnie Quote – “I do not want to touch his ass. I want to make him talk!”

9. True Lies – 1994

True Lies

I don’t think this film justifies being any higher up this list of Top Arnie films of all times. It has great explosions, punchy one liners, lots of fighting, harrier jets in cities but for some reason it doesn’t quite work. I really rate James Cameron as a director I just think this film is too “family”.

Memorable Arnie quote – “First I’m gonna use you as a human shield, then I gonna kill this guard over there, with the Patterson trocar on the table. Then I was thinking about breaking your neck.”

8. End of days – 1999

End of Days

I personally feel this was one of Arnie’s great “last films” before unfortunately turning to politics and “terminating worrying issues”. The film is about the spirit of Satan looking for a bride that he can get jiggy with so he can rule the world and kill everyone. Of course there’s a dead beat cop with nothing to lose that gets in the way and saves the world. Good film with a stigmata feel to it, with more action and one liners of course!

Memorable Arnie quote – “Between your faith and my Glock nine millimeter, I’ll take the Glock.”

7. Last Action Hero - 1993

Last Action Hero

This film is based around a young boy who is given a magic movie ticket which allows reality and movies to interact. Of course the young lad is watching a kick ass Arnie film and one thing leads to another and the movie becomes reality. Arnie tries to battle it out with various villains throughout the film and eventually the movie characters come back to the real world and cause all kinds of mayhem. Arnie kills all and is victorious (no surprise)

Memorable Arnie quote – “I’ll be back! Ha! You didn’t know I was going to say that, did you?”

6. Total Recall – 1990

Total Recall

Set in the future, living on Mars is now standard and is run by an “evil” company. There is a war on the planet between the rebels and this company. The actual storyline is long and complicated but I can tell you there are mutants, dream simulations, 3 boobed women and lots of killing. Another fine Arnie performance in this film!

Memorable Arnie quote – “What about the guy you lobotomized? Did he get a refund?”

5. Running man – 1987

The story for this film is borderline genius! Set in the future (which is now our past) Arnie gets arrested and put into a sick game show where prisoners can play to get “released”. Obviously people bet on this game and the prisoners have to fight of gladiator styled muscle machines along the way. Arnie wins, kills everyone and gets the girl – classic!

Memorable Arnie quote – “He had to split”

4. Commando – 1986

Commando

John Matrix (Arnie) is a retired specialised commando (at the ripe age of 30+ lol) some mean baddy tries to kill his entire old unit, they get everyone except the big man. His daughter is kidnapped and he basically destroys an entire army. The action in this film is just brilliant, I suggest everyone watch this if you haven’t to this point.

Memorable Arnie quote – “Let off some steam, Bennett”

3. Terminator 2 – 1991

Terminator 2

This time Arnie plays a good guy sent to protect John Connor as cybernet try to have him killed. Not as dark as the first terminator but his performance in this film is awesome. Riding around on motorbikes, destroying buildings, operating mini guns, and in the end destroying a more advanced terminator.

Memorable Arnie quote – “Hasta la vista, baby”

2. The Terminator – 1984

The Terminator
Probably his acting defining role in this gem of a film. Basically in the future robots (Cybernet) rule the world, these robots send a very mean looking cyborg (Arnie) to kill the mother of the humans leader. The last surviving humans send back a soldier to protect her, he dies cause Arnie is just say god damn bad ass.

Memorable Arnie quote – “I’ll be back”

1. Predator – 1987

Predator 1
Here Arnie plays an army Major in an elite platoon of “hard men”, they go on a mission to (in the voice of the big man himself) “rescue the hastages!”. They get hunted by a bad ass Predator alien that picks off his team one by one in dense jungle territory. It ends up with a show down, there is only one winner in the end!

Memorable Arnie quote – “Get to the chopper”
