The plot:
The battle for Earth has ended. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream takes control of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron’s dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Megatron is now back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye. – some extracts taken from www.imdb.com

Transformers 2

I for one loved the first installment of Transformers, a childhood favorite has developed into an adult addiction. Michael Bay took some critisism on the first with the long intense, sometimes hard to follow fight scenes but generally it was a worldwide hit.

The plot seems acceptable for the second story, I don’t think anyone thought Megatron was killed off, well I didn’t – but with the second in the series more of our old characters will also be making an appearance. There have been rumours that Devastator, the deceptcon who is made up from other robots is back. For the auto bots and Prime, possibly a look at the Dinobots.

Whatever the plot and whatever the critics say about this film – it’s going to be a worldwide hit.

I remember hearing on British Radio 1 in a Steve Coogan interview that after he had made his second series of “Saxondale” that he would begin work on Alan Partridge “The Movie”! Now i’ve had many discussions about british comedy and Alan is certainly near the top if not on top – Watch this space for more information when I hear something.

I have mixed feelings about M. Night Shayamalan – I enjoyed 6th sense, Unbreakable and Signs, for me the others were distinctively average. This new film “The Happening” seems to have the right elements to make this film a success.

PLOT:

A couple goes on the run from an apocalyptic crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity.

Looking at the trailer and reading through the various movie forums, many people believe the happening is either a flock of killer bees or a man made virus that uses the natural elements to kill everyone. No doubt there will be a twist in the tale and the happening just happened – no imagination I know lol.

I was always a big fan of the X files when I was younger, the series was great and the movie not bad too. I did lose interest when Mulder left but in this new features they are back together, wahoo!

Plot: David Duchovny will reprise his role of Special Agent Fox Mulder. Gillian Anderson is also expected to be back on board to play Special Agent Dana Scully. The popular series ran on Fox from 1993 to 2002. Rob Bowman directed the first feature, which hit theaters on June 19, 1998.

I have always preferred Pixar animated films in comparison to Dreamworks and the new movie in 2008 from them looks stunning! Pixar have always lead the field of CGI with the Toy Stories and Nemo (with great water effects).

Plot:

The year is 2700. WALL*E, a robot, spends every day doing what he was made for. But soon, he will discover what he was meant for.

Watch the trailer and you will see that the animation is more realistic than the normal almost “cartoon” look. Look forward to seeing more of WALL*E in 2008 – will keep you all posted!

The Plot:

Veteran-turned-mercenary Thoorop (Diesel) takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to China. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah.

Sounds like a potentially great movie, will keep you guys updated when I know more

I for one loved the first 2 Fast and Furious films. Great cars, good looking women and a not so bad story line in both films. I didn’t watch the third mainly because it looked like a straight to DVD film with none of the original cast.

A nice surprise to see Vin Diesel and Paul Walker as a possible return double combo for the fourth installment. Due in 2009 its a long way away, I will of course keep everyone updates as soon as I know more!

Plot: Based on the classic 1960’s Japanese animated series, The Wachowski Brothers (Matrix) direct the story of a young race car driver as he attempts to obtain glory, with the help of his family and the Mach 5, the advanced car created by his father. Emile Hirsch stars as Speed, Christina Ricci as Trixie, and Mathew Fox as Racer X. Even if you weren’t a fan of the tv series, all indications so far point to this being unlike anything ever seen before on the big screen.

Looks like a good fun watch with some great visual effects, not entirely sure on the storyline though!

Plot Summary: Based upon Marvel’s iconic Super Hero, “Iron Man” tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. Upon his return to America, Tony must come to terms with his past. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man.

I am a big fan of Robert Downey Jr, always have been but as far as Iron Man goes, I know nothing of the history of the character. The trailer looks ok, certainly a watch on DVD but I think i’ll leave it till then!

Tim Burton really stamped his authority by starting the series but this next offering from Christopher Nolan was also a nice surprise. I think Christian Bale has put his own dark take to the role of Batman which works really well.

The villain in the Dark Knight is none other than the Joker, played by Heath Ledger – which in all honesty has big shoes to fill after big Jack.

Some of the released stills look amazing and im sure the strong cast will do this film justice – watch this space!
